Frequently Asked Questions What should I do if I have a specific health concern? On your first consultation you will be required to fill in some details about your medical history and current life style. If you have specific concerns please notify your practitioner. If the practitioner you are seeing is not the best person to treat you they will refer you to the most appropriate practitioner. How many treatments will I require? At Balmain Centre for Holistic Health we acknowledge your individuality; therefore the number of treatments required will vary from person to person. Your practitioner will assess how many treatments would be beneficial for you. What if I need to cancel my appointment? We understand that sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We kindly ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice so that we can try to book in someone from the waiting list. Our individual practitioners have different fees and policies for late notice cancellations. Please contact them direct to discuss. What if I am running late? Our practitioners have many appointments throughout the day and most of the time will not be able to extend your appointment if you are late. We highly recommended that you aim to arrive at least 10 minutes early for your appointments. This will give you enough time to relax, enjoy a cup of tea and, if needed, provide any information that your practitioner may require. Can I claim on my Health Fund? Most Health Funds recognise natural therapies and you may be able to get a rebate for many of our treatments. Please direct your specific enquiries to your practitioner. How do I make payment for my treatment? We accept cash, mastercard, visa and eftpos and on some occasions cheques. How do I get to the centre? The centre is conveniently located and easily accessed both by public transport and car. For more details about public transport and parking please refer to the contact us page. Am I eligible for any discounts? We offer substantial discounts for students, carers, pensioners and the unemployed. All our prices are listed in the our services page. Please ensure that you bring your eligibility card (eg; student ID, concession card, etc) when you attend your treatment. What if I wish to purchase a gift for someone? We offer beautifully wrapped gift certificates for all of our services. Gift Certificates can be purchased by phone, email or in person. Is there anything else that I need to know? - If the front entrance is unattended the side entrance from the right side of the building may be used. There is adequate signage to guide your way in. - We ask that all mobile phones be switched off and noise kept to a minimum in the waiting area so as not to disturb others during their treatment. - If the waiting room is unattended upon your arrival please ring the bell and wait patiently for our practitioners to attend to you. - Your absolute honesty regarding your health and lifestyle will allow our practitioners to serve you better. Please be thorough when completing the initial client intake and medical history form.
